Nokia N8 Smartphone Review

It has probably been the most anticipated Nokia handset this year and the pioneer of the Symbianˆ3 operating system. The Nokia N8 has finally arrived and should start shipping shortly. We really love the looks and the specs sheet looks impressive as well. But as we have seen in earlier previews it is let down by it’s operating system. Don’t get us wrong the Symbianˆ3 is an improvement over previous versions of S60 editions and it does the job well but compared to competitors such as Apple iOS and Google Android it just falls behind a couple of generations. But for Nokia fans this is a very good handset as well and they shouldn’t hold back from ordering. Head over to CNet for full review.

Even though 11.6 inch notebooks aren’t selling that well due to users buying cheaper and smaller netbooks some most manufacturers still offer 11.6 inch notebooks with dual core processors and why wouldn’t they. We much rather shell out a couple of hundred pounds more over a netbook to buy similar sized notebook with proper dual core processor that can do a lot more then any netbook ever will. Toshiba Qosmio X500-TZ1V 18.4 inch Gaming Notebook Review

Toshiba Qosmio series started out as entertainment series back in July 2004 but has recently emerged into gaming notebook series and latest Toshiba Qosmio X500-TZ1V notebook is one of the most powerful notebooks Toshiba has ever made. It packs a 1.73GHz Intel Core i7 740QM quad-core processor, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and 1.5 GB nVidia GeForce GTX 460M dedicated graphics weighing in a very reasonable 4.9 kg. It not only packs a punch but it also looks good. The chassis design features clean lines, black and red finish but we do have one complaint and that’s extensive use of glossy plastics.

Lenovo IdeaPad U540p is another notebook claiming to feature long battery life and portability. It packs a 1.3 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 dedicated graphics, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, DVD+/-RW drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.
