Dell XPS 17 (L701X) 17.3 inch Notebook Review

When were just about to forget about Dell XPS notebook series Dell reminded us that this performance and style oriented series is still alive be releasing Dell XPS 14, 15 and 17. Today we have the biggest of the trio up for review over at TrustedReviews.

As we have come to expect from Dell XPS notebooks Dell XPS 17 offers good build quality, to some degree stylish design, great performance and connectivity. Add impressive JBL speakers into to the mix and you have a recipe for a great entertainment and desktop replacement notebook.

Dell definitely focused on the desktop replacement with this notebook as it is quite bulky and weighs well over 3 kg you will not want to take far from your desk but when you do you will be happy to hear that it provides about 4 hours of use away from a power socket. It is slightly let down by the screen as the 17.3 inch LED backlit screen offers only a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixel. While completely adequate for most users some would have wished for a full HD resolution.
