Evigroup SmartPaddle 11.6 inch Windows 7 Tablet Launched

A useable Windows 7 is one of our unfulfilled dreams and by the looks of it the French might have made it come true with the launch of Evigroup SmartPaddle tablet. To compensate for Windows 7 lack of finger friendliness the Evigroup created its own user interface that runs on top of Windows 7. They called it ‘Scale’ and it is more than just a finger friendly 3D interface. It has some built-in applications such as web browser, media player capable of playing 1080p full HD video, photo manager, word processor, contact manager and file manager.

First LED-backlighting took over the notebook market and recently it started taking over both LCD TV and LCD computer monitor markets. This resulted in thinner, sleeker and more elegant designs. To fight with other manufacturers for the top spot in this ‘premium’ market LG released new E60 series LCD LED-backlit monitors with smallest E1960 (18.5 inch, 1366 x 768 px), E2060 (20 inch, 1600 x 900 px), E2260 (21.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 px) and our review unit which is largest of the bunch the E2360 (23 inch, 1920 x 1080 px).

Alienware M11x R3 Notebook to be the first 11.6 inch notebook with Intel Core i5/i7 Sandy Bridge Inside

Alienware M11x was the first 11.6 inch notebook to deliver enough punch for gaming with featuring nVidia GeForce GT 335m graphics and thanks to nVidia Optimus it also offered about 6 hour battery life. It was very well received by the public and media alike with really only one complaint – the processor. Alienware Dell decided to change that with announcement that the third revision (R3) of Alienware M11x will be updated with a selection of Intel Core i5 and i7 Sandy Bridge processors. Again being first to feature latest processors from Intel in such a small notebook.

Internet Explorer 9 – 15 Years of Evolution Video

To celebrate (if it’s worth celebrating) the release of Internet Explorer 9 a fan that goes by the alias of TheRasteri created a video showing all versions of Internet Explorer starting with version 1 through 9. He test all the version on how they display various websites and puts them through Acid tests. It looks like Microsoft after 15 years of developing Internet Explorer finally delivered a worthy browser. We definetily recommend trying out the latest Internet Explorer 9 that you can download free from Microsoft website. Also please do check the funky video after the break.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android Tablet Demo Video

Remember the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 we wrote about over a week ago. If you don’t or have missed it the Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 1 GHz dual core processor, Google Android 3.0, 10.1 inch (1280 x 800 px) touchscreen and weighs less then 700 g. Check our previous post for full specifications and photos. We are still waiting for first reviews to start appearing on the internet but AndroidHD posted a lengthy demo video presentation. Netbooks Added to Gadget Finder

You have probably noticed that we haven’t posted any news for over a week. That’s not because we have all gone for a holiday or become lazy but because we have been working intensively to expand our Gadget Finder. We added netbooks from all major manufacturers in the UK. We added 36 Acer, 1 Advent, 60 Asus, 27 Dell, 1 eMachines, 11 HP, 16 HP Compaq, 19 Lenovo, 1 Medion, 6 MSI, 12 Packard Bell, 1 Nokia, 52 Samsung, 3 Sony and 14 Toshiba netbooks. Our Gadget Finder now consists of 260 netbooks and 2415 notebooks. Check the full list of netbooks added after the break.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Announced

With iPad 2 taking all the hype this month other manufacturers aren’t holding back either. Samsung announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. As the name implies the new model features a larger 10.1 inch (1280 x 800 px) screen where its predecessor the Galaxy Tab featured a 7 inch screen. Larger screen aside the real news here is that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be running Google Android 3.0 “Honeycomb”.

Apple iPad 2 Tablet Unveiled

The first iPad rejuvenated the tablet market so we can now choose from dozens of different tablets which vary in sizes, features and operating systems but none came close to the success of the iPad. There were a lot of rumours about the Apple iPad 2 and now Apple finally unveiled it yesterday. At first glance of the iPad 2 it becomes clear that this is an evolution not a revolution like its predecessor and that’s not a bad thing as the iPad was a great device but the competition caught up and even surpassed in certain areas. Now Apple struck back with a 1 GHz dual core A5 processor that is up to 2x times faster and up 9x times faster graphics compared to its older brother.

Most Popular Notebooks in February 2011

February 2011 was an exciting month for us at BitDynasty. First we completed our notebook database and shortly after Notebook Finder was finally released out of beta and now we have decided to post each month a list of most viewed notebooks from our Notebook Finder. It is a good indication of what kind of notebooks most visitors look for when they visit our website. The February 2011 was owned by HP with 8 out of top 10 notebooks being HP. Only Sony and Samsung managed to break the top 10 as well with one notebook each.
