Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Android 3.1 Hands-on Video

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Android 3.1 Hands-on Video

After announcing the consumer oriented IdeaPad K1 tablet Lenovo announced another tablet but this time around is aimed at the business users. Internal hardware is pretty much the same as the IdeaPad K1 with a 10.1 inch screen (1280  x 800 px), 1 GHz dual core nVidia Tegra 2 processor, 16/32/64 GB internal storage and 1 GB RAM. Where the ThinkPad Tabled really differentiate itself from the IdeaPad K1 is the optional Keyboard Folio case which sports a ThinkPad class keyboard wrapped in a case. The concept of a dedicated keyboard is very appealing as Asus has shown with Eee Transformer which has been the most popular Honeycomb tablet so far. We’ll have to wait and see how will Lenovo’s business alternative be received. If all goes as planned we won’t have to wait long as the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet should hit the stores next month with starting price of $499 in the US.  Check the hands-on video by Engadget and official press shots after the break.

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook 12.1 inch Netbook Video Review

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook 12.1 inch Netbook Video Review

Finally the first netbook running Chrome OS has arrived and guys over at Engadget posted a great video review. There is no doubt that Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is a well built and designed netbook. But under the hood it is just another netbook with a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core processor and 2 GB RAM but does feature a larger 12.1 inch (1280 x 800 px) screen then most nebooks. But what really sets it apart is the new Google Chrome OS where pretty much all your data and software is stored in the cloud. A very advanced idea by Google but we think it might be to advanced for most. Check the video review by Engadget after the break.

BlackBerry Torch 2 Smartphone Video Preview

With loosing out more and more smartphone market share to iPhone and a flood of Android handsets RIM is trying to strike back this time with a refresh of the touchscreen/qwerty slider. BlackBerry Torch 2 might look almost identical to its predecessor but it does offer quite a few improvements such as screen resolution bump to 640 x 480 px, increased RAM size and latest version of BlackBerry OS 7.0 but perhaps the most noteworthy is the processor which now ticks at 1.2 GHz compared to the measly 624MHz of the original Blackberry Torch.
