We have already seen a few of hands-on videos of the upcoming BlackBerry Playbook tablet but now thanks to Engadget we have a bit more in-depth info on this tablet. As you have probably heard BlackBerry Playbook runs QNX operating system that BlackBerry purchased in April last year which in combination with WebKit and Adobe Flash and Air and named it BlackBerry Tablet OS. It offers a very smooth and polished user interface and experience. It is set to be released in Q1 2011 and promises to be the first tablet to offer real multi-tasking as we have come to expect it from desktop operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS X. No info on the pricing yet but we expect it to be priced similarly to Apple iPad.

We still have yet to see a Windows 7 tablet to impress us. Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series just might be the one but with packing an Intel Atom processor it might not offer enough performance to satisfy everyone. Asus might have then taken the best approach with stuffing a dual core Intel Core i5 processor in the upcoming Asus Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet. Add up to 4 GB of RAM and Intel GMA HD integrated graphics and Asus Eee Slate EP121 will not have any problems whatsoever with any office task you throw at it.

Dell finally unveiled the bigger brother of the quite positively accepted Dell Streak (5” tablet/smartphone). Dell Streak 7 will run Google Android and Dell’s custom Stage user interface that is found on Dell Streak as well. The similarities don’t end there either as Dell Streak 7 features a WVGA Gorilla Glass screen and 5 megapixel rear facing camera.

Lenovo IdeaCentre A320, B520, B320 and C205 All-in-one Desktop PCs Announced

Lenovo announced 4 new all-in-one desktop PC models at CES 2011. We had a look at the Lenovo IdeaCentre A310 a week ago and were quite impressed with it apart from graphics performance so we hope Lenovo addressed some of the issues in the upcoming models. Lenovo IdeaCentre A320 was dubbed worlds slimmest all-in-one desktop PC by Lenovo while IdeaCentre B520 is world’s first frameless multi-touch all-in-one and the IdeaCentre B320 is a computer that is also a TV. With Lenovo C205 is a compact all-in-one at an affordable price and is not a part of IdeaCentre line-up. All the models have been upgraded with latest Intel Sandy Bridge or AMD Fusion platforms.
