Another big update to our notebook database this month as manufacturers were updating their current models with new Intel and AMD processors that were released couple of months ago. The circle of the first chart editions in 2012 is complete. We present you the top ten most popular tablets in January 2012. This month was the first one in our chart history that wasn't dominated by budget tablets with only 2 budget tablets breaking the top 10. Furthermore 2 Windows 7 tablets made appearance for the first time as well. Looks like getting ever closer to the tablet-friendly Windows 8 is positively influencing the public's interest in Windows based tablets. Check the full chart after the break.

After the first edition of the Notebook Chart in 2012 it's time to look at the Netbook Chart. HP retained the top two spots from the month before which didn't surprise us at all. What did surprise us however is the return of Dell Inspiron Duo which came back to the top ten chart after almost a year of absence from our charts. Just what attracted so many views is unknown to us. Perhaps it was the unique shape-shifting to a tablet netbook that inspired you or could it be that custom design speaker dock by JBL? Apart from HP and Dell other manufacturers entering our netbook chart are Asus, Acer, Packard Bell, eMachines, Samsung and Toshiba. Check the full chart after the break.

Welcome to the first edition in the New Year. In January 2012 HP continues its dominance with grabbing top 3 spots and 6 spots all together with the HP Pavillion g6-1240sa remaining on the #1 spot. Joining HP in the top ten chart we also have Toshiba with 2 entries while Lenovo and Sony grabbed one each. Check the full chart after the break.

Unlike notebook and netbook charts the tablet chart remains pretty much unchanged with only slight movement between places. There was only one new entry with ViewSonic ViewPad 10s and the Cambridge Sciences V10 tablet staying on the top. Also cracking our chart are Tabtech and Samsung with 2 entries, while Hannspree, A1CS, Acer and Asus grabbed one spot each. Check the full chart after the break.

After reclaiming the #1 spot in our Notebook Chart HP regained the top spot in our Netbook Chart as well - all thanks to the HP Mini 110-3600 (110-3600sa) netbook. Along with the first place HP grabbed the #2 as well. Other places were taken by Acer and Samsung with 2 entries each, while Acer, Asus, Toshiba and eMachines each grabbed one spot. Last month HP finally lost the grip on the top spot but in December it came back with a vengance. The HP Pavilion g6-1200 (g6-1240sa) grabbed the top spot with nearly 4 times the views of the second placed Toshiba Satellite L755 (13K). Now, that's what we call a comeback. Aside from HP taking 7 spots, Toshiba, Lenovo and Packard Bell managed to grab one spot each. Check the full chart after the break.

It looks like Asus, Samsung, HP and Dell just can't wait for finger friendly Windows 8 to come out as they have all released Windows 7 tablets recently. While Dell's and HP's efforts are pretty average the Samsung 700T is actually the first Windows 7 tablet we have seen that might actually do a decent job. Still we think it would be better to hold off your Windows tablet purchase just  a wee-bit longer as Windows 8 is just around the corner. We added 40 tablets this month bringing the total number of tablets in our Tablet Finder to 160.  See the tull list of tablets added after the break.

With Samsung announcing it might pull out of the netbook market soon, Dell's netbook reduced to only the Inspiron Duo and Acer flirting with a similar decission the future for netbooks looks bleak. So it came to us a surprise that there were a total of 29 netbooks added to our Netbook Finder database which brings the total number of netbooks in our database to 412.  Full list of netbooks added after the break.
