Dell has teased us with Dell Inspiron Duo – a device promising to bring the versatility of a netbook and form factor of tablet all in one numerous times and now thanks to guys over at Engadget we can put speculations and predictions to rest. It seems the Dell Inspiron Duo pretty much came out as a product we expected. A solid netbook with decent performance but lack of good touchscreen UI, no VGA or HDMI, somewhat short battery life and a starting price of whopping £449 here in the UK we just can’t see it winning many people’s hearts over. Where the Samsung NF210 tries to stand out is the looks as it features in-mold rolling (IMR) with which Samsung could achieve curved chassis even the screen lid seems it is curved on each sides when netbook is closed. It definitely sports design unlike any other we have ever seen. Asus Eee PC 1015T AMD 10.1 inch Netbook

Asus Eee PC 1015T AMD 10.1 inch Netbook

Asus has created pretty much every combination of netbook hardware possible with Intel’s processors and it turned to AMD. What we have seen in other AMD powered netbooks such as Acer Aspire One 521 they offer better performance especially in the graphics department then Intel but usually last half as long when running on battery power. So hopefully Asus Eee PC 1015T that features the latest AMD V series processor for netbooks will offer competitive battery life. Asus Eee PC 1015T offers already familiar seashell chassis design and offers 4 colour options including white, black, blue and red.

Asus EEE PC 1015PEM 10.1 inch Netbook Review

Asus EEE PC 1015PEM 10.1 inch Netbook Review

It is not the first netbook to feature a dual core Intel Atom processors but it is the first 10.1 inch netbook with the dual core processor. Apart from the 1.5 GHz Atom processor it also packs the Bluetooth 3.0 adapter and an anti-glare screen. We think that all netbooks should feature a dual core Atom as it only bumps price up for about €20 which to be honest isn’t much for a multitasking able netbook. So hopefully other manufacturers will follow Asus in the bid to make netbooks more versatile then just browsing web otherwise the wave of tablets might make netbooks obsolete.
