This month we finally saw the first models featuring the next generation Intel Atom processors – Oak Trail hitting the stores. The new platform is promising faster performance without reducing the battery life. The integrated graphics have received a performance boost as well with 3x times higher 3Dmark06 scores at about 450. The first to jump the Oak Trail ship was no other then the daddy of netbooks – Asus followed by HP. Medion meanwhile sticking to the older platform released a new netbook sporting 11 different back cover designs. In total we added 32 netbooks added to our Netbook Finder database which brings the total number of netbooks in our database to 444.  Full list of netbooks added after the break.

Top 10 - Most Popular Netbooks January 2012

After the first edition of the Notebook Chart in 2012 it’s time to look at the Netbook Chart. HP retained the top two spots from the month before which didn’t surprise us at all. What did surprise us however is the return of Dell Inspiron Duo which came back to the top ten chart after almost a year of absence from our charts. Just what attracted so many views is unknown to us. Perhaps it was the unique shape-shifting to a tablet netbook that inspired you or could it be that custom design speaker dock by JBL? Apart from HP and Dell other manufacturers entering our netbook chart are Asus, Acer, Packard Bell, eMachines, Samsung and Toshiba. Check the full chart after the break.

Top 10 – Most Popular Netbooks December 2011

After reclaiming the #1 spot in our Notebook Chart HP regained the top spot in our Netbook Chart as well – all thanks to the HP Mini 110-3600 (110-3600sa) netbook. Along with the first place HP grabbed the #2 as well. Other places were taken by Acer and Samsung with 2 entries each, while Acer, Asus, Toshiba and eMachines each grabbed one spot. Netbook Finder Update – December 2011

With Samsung announcing it might pull out of the netbook market soon, Dell’s netbook reduced to only the Inspiron Duo and Acer flirting with a similar decission the future for netbooks looks bleak. So it came to us a surprise that there were a total of 29 netbooks added to our Netbook Finder database which brings the total number of netbooks in our database to 412.  Full list of netbooks added after the break.

Top 10 – Most Popular Netbooks November 2011

After losing the grips on the#1 spot in our notebook chart, HP lost #1 spot in our netbook chart as well. The top spot was this month was taken by Asus Eee PC 1011PX. Still HP managed to grab 3 spots, while eMachines got 2 entries and Asus, Acer, Packard Bell, Toshiba and Samsung got one-a-piece. Check the full chart after the break.

Welcome to the October 2011 edition of the Top 10 Most Popular Netbooks Chart. This month we have exact same netbooks in the chart as in the previous month. There were only some minor changes in places but the HP Mini 210-3000sa stayed on the top. It’s no secret that the netbook market started shrinking since more and more users prefer to buy tablets for quick and simple web browsing. Welcome to the September 2011 edition of the Top 10 Most Popular Netbooks Chart. This month we saw HP Mini netbooks exchaning blows and HP Mini 210-3000sa coming out no top. Finally something fresh in the netbook market – Samsung Chromebook is a 12.1 inch netbook running Google’s operating system Chrome OS that stores all the data in the cloud. A new concept for an operating system but only time will tell if people are ready for such approach.
