HP Compaq branded notebooks are known to be cheap but usually do compromise on the performance and battery life. The HP Compaq Presario CQ57-371EA packs a dual core AMD processor E-450 which is an AMD Fusion based platform that promises an integrated graphics that can handle full HD playback and a good battery life all for under £300.
Last month HP finally lost the grip on the top spot but in December it came back with a vengance. The HP Pavilion g6-1200 (g6-1240sa) grabbed the top spot with nearly 4 times the views of the second placed Toshiba Satellite L755 (13K). Now, that’s what we call a comeback. With all ultrabooks stealing all the hype in the portable notebook market it is easy to forget that not everyone want to spend £1000 on a 13 inch notebook. For some a notebook that is 5oo g heavier, 10 mm thicker but costing almost half less is a more compelling offer and this is where HP ProBook 4330s comes in.

Welcome to the October 2011 edition of the Top Ten Most Popular Notebooks chart. This month HP Pavilion dv6-6100 (dv6-6176sa) climbs to the stop spot from last month’s #6. Not that many new models have been released this month. It seems like manufacturers are holding back for the holiday season. This month we finally see AMD Fusion based notebooks hit the stores with Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba leading the way. Other then that even more Sandy Bridge models. We are however looking forward the next couple of months which should see a flood of so called “Ultrabooks” – MacBook Air like Windows notebooks being released. There was no trully buzz-worthy notebook released this month. Perhaps closest would be Dell Vostro V131 portable notebook. In total we added 195 notebooks. Welcome to the Auguts 2011 edition of the Top Ten Most Popular Notebooks chart. This month HP Compaq Presario CQ56-206sa came out of nowhere straight to the number one spot. Other then that HP continues to the domination with taking 7 spots while Toshiba got 2 spots and Samsung got the remaining one.
