Still flying high on the success of Windows 7 Microsoft showed off new interface it's been secretly working on. It looks like this new interface was heavily influenced by Windows Phone 7 OS found on smartphones. This will make it very friendly to use on tablets and it seems that finally we will be able to see a decent Windows tablet. It will also come bundled with Internet Explorer which again has been designed with tablets in mind.

We love stats especially when they OS related as they show us what people are using out there. It's hard to believe that Windows XP after 9 years of release is still seating on top of the charts but that is all looking to change in the US with Windows 7 steadily climbing each month while Windows XP and Windows Vista (that FYI has never overtaken XP) are steadily loosing their share. StatCounter projected that by the end of  April Windows 7 will become most used operating system in the US. Check the stats charts after the break. (more...)

To celebrate (if it's worth celebrating) the release of Internet Explorer 9 a fan that goes by the alias of TheRasteri created a  video showing all versions of Internet Explorer starting with version 1 through 9. He test all the version on how they display various websites and puts them through Acid tests. It looks like Microsoft after 15 years of developing Internet Explorer finally delivered a worthy browser.
