After a horde Intel Ivy Bridge laptops last month manufacturers slowed down a bit with releasing new models last month. With only Fujitsu and Lenovo finally releasing refreshed line-ups. Fujistu also finally joined the Ultrabook market with Fujitsu Lifebook U772 and UH572 that both have the looks but somehow didn’t manage to impress the reviewers. In total we added 197 notebooks this month which brings the total number of notebook models in our Notebook Finder database to 5,613. Full list of notebooks models added after the break.
This month we finally saw new models with Intel’s latest Core platform (Ivy Bridge) being released in bunches. Even Apple joined the party with Ivy Bridge update across their entire range of MacBooks. It did however axe the 17 inch model in the process but added a MacBook Pro 15 inch with Retina Display which packs a ridiculous resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 px all at measuring only 18mm thick and weighing in at 2kg. On top of that I packs a quad core processor and a very decent nVidia switchable graphics. But before you go running into a store to buy one makes sure you have at least £1,800 in your wallet otherwise you will leave the store empty-handed. In total we added 461 notebooks this month which brings the total number of notebook models in our Notebook Finder database to 5,456. Full list of notebooks models added after the break.
As more and more manufacturers are releasing ultrabooks we decided this month to add a new category specifically for ultrabooks. Previously we added all ultrabooks into the premium notebooks category. We now have 18 ultrabooks in our database for you to choose from and will keep adding them as they are released. In total we added 266 new notebooks which brings the total number of notebook models in our Notebook Finder database to 4594. Full list of notebooks models added after the break.
Another big update to our notebook database this month as manufacturers were updating their current models with new Intel and AMD processors that were released couple of months ago. In total we added 332 notebooks which brings the total number of notebook models in our Notebook Finder database to 4328. Full list of notebooks models added after the break.
This month we finally see AMD Fusion based notebooks hit the stores with Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba leading the way. Other then that even more Sandy Bridge models. We are however looking forward the next couple of months which should see a flood of so called “Ultrabooks” – MacBook Air like Windows notebooks being released. There was no trully buzz-worthy notebook released this month. Perhaps closest would be Dell Vostro V131 portable notebook. In total we added 195 notebooks. This brings the total number of notebook models in our Notebook Finder database to 3519. Full list of notebooks models added after the break.
Not much has happened again in the netbook world. Still no sign of any Intel Oak trail based models and with rumours that even Intel isn’t exactly very happy with its latest Intel Atom platform we might never see any. Luckily manufacturers are still trying to reinvigorate the market with some doing a minor design refresh or using AMD Fusion platform instead. No wonder that this month we had the smallest update to our database so far with adding 34 new netbook models which brings the number of netbooks in our Netbook Finder to 355. Full list of netbooks added after the break.
After adding netbooks to our Gadget Finder we decided to add tablets as they are currently the hottest gadgets largely thanks to Apple iPad 2 which leads the pack by a mile. What Android tablets miss in quantity they make up in quantity with most tablets being launched running Google Android operating system with the exception of BlackBerry Playbook and a handful of Windows 7 tablets. Thanks to our Tablet Wizard, Tablet Catalogue and Tablet Search finding your dream tablet has never been so easy. Go ahead, make your day :) and try it out.
